Dog
A dog is a domesticated mammal and a subspecies of the gray wolf, scientifically known as Canis lupus familiaris. Dogs have lived alongside humans for thousands of years, evolving into loyal companions and working animals. They are warm-blooded mammals with fur, give live birth, and are known for their strong social instincts. Highly trainable and intelligent, dogs communicate through barking, growling, whining, and body language. They have an exceptional sense of smell and hearing, which makes them valuable in roles such as hunting, herding, guarding, and search-and-rescue. With hundreds of breeds ranging from tiny Chihuahuas to massive Great Danes, dogs vary greatly in size, appearance, and temperament. In many households around the world, dogs are cherished not just as pets, but as beloved members of the family.
